Actress Ashu Reddy has approached the Telangana High Court seeking to quash an FIR filed against her in connection with a honey trap and cheating case. In her petition, she alleged that the police acted in a one-sided manner without recording her statement. Ashu Reddy claimed that the allegations made by a London-based software engineer, Dharmendra, are baseless and intended to damage her reputation. She further stated that the FIR was registered solely based on a complaint filed by Dharmendra’s father, without proper verification.
The actress also accused certain individuals of spreading false information on social media to defame her character. Meanwhile, Dharmendra’s family has alleged that since 2018, Ashu Reddy had promised marriage and collected approximately ₹9.35 crore, along with 5 kg of gold, luxury cars, and flats. Based on these claims, a complaint was lodged with the CCS police. The matter is now under legal scrutiny, with the High Court expected to hear her plea.
