

The Minister for IT and Industries, Sridhar Babu, has urged Norwegian companies to explore investment opportunities in Telangana, particularly in the life sciences and healthcare sectors. He highlighted that these sectors offer vast potential in the state, along with a favorable environment for establishing new industries.
A high-level delegation led by Norway’s Ambassador May-Elin Stener met the Minister at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation between Telangana and Norway. The Minister briefed the delegation on the state’s Ease of Doing Business policies and the investment-friendly ecosystem available for industries.
The Minister also appreciated Norway’s global leadership in areas such as clean energy, green manufacturing, electric mobility and climate innovation. He emphasized opportunities for collaboration in emerging fields including artificial intelligence, digital health, biotech, medical devices, green hydrogen and more. He proposed the formation of a dedicated “Telangana–Norway Working Group” to develop a comprehensive roadmap for future cooperation. In response, the Norwegian Ambassador stated that Norway is ready to collaborate with progressive states like Telangana. She added that steps will be taken to strengthen bilateral relations further in the coming years.
