An e-commerce company has announced a strategic partnership with India Post to deliver parcels to its customers across the country. With this collaboration, the company gains access to India Post’s vast network of over 1.6 lakh post offices, significantly expanding its reach. This move is expected to enhance delivery capabilities and improve service efficiency, enabling the company to serve a larger customer base more effectively.
The company stated that the services will include prepaid and Cash on Delivery (COD) options, along with OTP-based delivery authentication and real-time shipment tracking. This partnership mirrors a similar agreement signed by Amazon India with the postal department in December, highlighting a growing trend of collaboration between e-commerce platforms and India Post to strengthen logistics and last-mile delivery.
