India’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) ecosystem is expanding rapidly, and CSR funds are expected to reach ₹75,000 crore in the next three years, crossing the ₹1 lakh crore mark later, said former IAS officer Dr. Bhaskar Chatterjee, who played a key role in shaping India’s CSR policy. Speaking at the “CSR Meets the Social Stock Exchange: A Journey Ahead” seminar in Hyderabad, he highlighted the importance of the Social Stock Exchange (SSE) as a platform for funding social initiatives.
At the event, Grace Cancer Foundation announced plans to get listed on the Social Stock Exchange and expand cancer and non-communicable disease (NCD) screening services across India. The foundation aims to establish a Centre of Excellence for preventive oncology, introduce AI-based mobile cancer screening units, and provide advanced early cancer detection facilities in rural areas through technology driven healthcare solutions.
