

Here is exciting news for space enthusiasts. NASA has announced that the first spacewalk of this year will take place on January 8 at the International Space Station (ISS). NASA astronauts Mike Fincke and Zena Cardman will take part in this mission. This will be the 10th spacewalk for Mike Fincke, while it will be the first spacewalk for Zena Cardman.
The spacewalk will begin at 8:00 AM (6:30 PM IST) and is expected to last for about six and a half hours. During this time, the astronauts will work on upgrading the ISS power system, connecting cables to new solar panels and installing jumper cables.
They will also take photographs of station hardware and collect samples of microorganisms found outside the space station. The spacewalk can be watched live on the NASA app, NASA YouTube channel, NASA TV and Amazon Prime Video.
