Infosys is preparing to inaugurate its second campus at Pocharam in Hyderabad on October 30, according to information from company sources. Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu and senior company representatives are expected to attend the event. Infosys initially established its first campus near the Indian School of Business in Gachibowli before expanding its presence to Pocharam. The new facility has reportedly been developed at an estimated cost of ₹800–900 crore, with four towers designed to accommodate around 40,000 employees. In the initial phase, approximately 10,000 job opportunities are expected to be created. The campus will support software development, digital services and IT operations for international clients.
The new facility has been designed with a focus on environmental sustainability, including arrangements to use solar power. The company reportedly retained existing water bodies and several types of trees across its 437-acre property while developing the new buildings, helping preserve habitats for local bird species. Infosys is also said to have prepared a documentary about the campus for release during the inauguration. The company acquired the land through the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation in 2008 and initially invested around ₹1,250 crore in its Pocharam operations. In January 2025, it reportedly reached an agreement with the Telangana government at the World Economic Forum in Davos to expand the campus, with an initial expansion plan involving an investment of around ₹750 crore. The state government facilitated approvals through a dedicated nodal mechanism. The expansion is expected to support employment, investment and commercial activity in Pocharam, Ghatkesar and nearby areas.
