Yash Thakur Replaces Harshit Rana in India’s T20 Squads

Yash Thakur has been named in India’s T20 squads for the upcoming series against Afghanistan and the Asian Games, replacing the injured Harshit Rana. India are scheduled to play a three-match T20I series against Afghanistan, while Rana is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. The 27-year-old Vidarbha pacer recently featured on India’s tour of Zimbabwe, where he picked up four wickets in two matches.

Thakur has also built an impressive domestic record in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He has played 50 matches in the tournament and taken 81 wickets. His recent performances have earned him another opportunity at the international level. With Rana unavailable due to injury, Thakur will now be part of India’s T20 plans for both the Afghanistan series and the Asian Games.
