India continued its impressive medal campaign at the Commonwealth Games by adding one gold and two silver medals to its tally. Paralympian Dilip Mahadu Gavit won the gold medal in the Men's 100m T47 event after clocking a Games record of 10.71 seconds. Fellow Indian Mohammad Basil secured the silver medal with a timing of 10.83 seconds, while England's Kevin Santos claimed bronze. Dilip's triumph marked India's third gold medal of the Games, following victories by Mirabai Chanu and Sharmila Dhankhad. In weightlifting, Lovepreet Singh earned a silver medal in the men's 110+ kg category with a total lift of 388 kg, narrowly missing gold by just one kilogram.
Long jumper Murali Sreeshankar also delivered a memorable performance, winning silver with a best jump of 8.09 metres and becoming the first Indian athlete to win medals in two consecutive Commonwealth Games in the event. His remarkable comeback after a serious knee injury made the achievement even more inspiring. Triple jumpers Praveen Chithravel and Selva Prabhu qualified for the final, while Neeraj Chopra advanced to the men's javelin throw final. India's Navneet Singh and Dinesh Kumar registered their third consecutive win in lawn bowls, whereas Martina Devi, Sagar and Devender Kumar finished outside the medal positions.
