Team India stormed into the final of the Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026 unbeaten after defeating Bangladesh by 40 runs in the semi-final in Dubai. Speaking after the victory, India captain Harmanpreet Kaur said the spinners made excellent use of the pitch, which was difficult for batters to score on. She expressed happiness over the team’s ability to adapt to the challenging conditions and praised the overall performance of both the batting and bowling units.
Harmanpreet said small partnerships become crucial on such difficult pitches and praised Richa Ghosh and Deepti Sharma for their contributions. She also highlighted Shafali Verma’s half-century as a special effort given the conditions. The India captain said the team would carry the same aggressive approach into the final as it looks to win the title. India will face the winner of the second semi-final between Sri Lanka and Pakistan in the summit clash.
