India Announces Squad for Women's Asia Cup 2026

The BCCI has officially unveiled India's squad for the Women's Asia Cup 2026. Harmanpreet Kaur will captain the team, while Smriti Mandhana has been named vice-captain. The tournament will be India's first assignment after the one-off Test against England at Lord's, with the competition expected to begin in the last week of August.

The selection committee has also included five reserve players to cover injuries or unforeseen situations. Shreyanka Patil has been left out of the main squad, while Prema Rawat has retained her place following her impressive performances. Harmanpreet, who has already guided India to Asia Cup titles in 2016 and 2022, will aim to add another championship to her illustrious career.
