Gujarat Titans avoided a third consecutive defeat in IPL 2026 with a commanding performance at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. A brilliant spell from Kagiso Rabada (3/25) restricted Chennai Super Kings to a modest total, which Gujarat chased down comfortably. Openers Sai Sudharsan (87) and Shubman Gill (33) laid a solid foundation, while Jos Buttler (39* not out) played a crucial finishing role to seal an eight-wicket victory. This marked Gujarat’s fourth win of the season.

After back-to-back losses against Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the former champions made a strong comeback. Sudharsan and Gill provided an aggressive start, adding 55 runs in the powerplay before Gill was stumped by Noor Ahmad. Buttler then joined Sudharsan to guide the chase smoothly. Earlier, despite losing early wickets to Rabada’s pace attack, Ruturaj Gaikwad (74* not out) played a captain’s knock to help Chennai post 158, but it ultimately proved insufficient.
