Gill Closes in on No.1 as Three Indian Batters Feature in ICC ODI Top Five

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released its latest ODI batting rankings following the conclusion of the England ODI series. New Zealand batter Daryl Mitchell retained the No.1 position with 802 rating points, while India's ODI captain Shubman Gill remained second with 801 points. Gill is now just one rating point away from replacing Mitchell at the top of the rankings.

Veteran Indian batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma continue to hold the third and fourth positions with 767 and 758 rating points respectively. Despite losing the ODI series against England, Indian batters maintained their dominance in the rankings, with three players securing places in the top five of the ICC ODI batting rankings.
