Reports in national media indicate that Team India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir may be facing a major setback. The BCCI is reportedly gearing up to review his position, with an emergency meeting scheduled for November 30.
Following India’s recent series losses at home, dissatisfaction over Gambhir’s strategies is said to be growing. Several complaints have reportedly reached the BCCI regarding frequent changes in the batting order, unnecessary experiments, and giving extended opportunities to players like Harshit Rana. With this backdrop, the board is considering strong action.
The November 30 meeting is expected to decide whether Gambhir will continue or be asked to step down. If he exits, reports suggest that VVS Laxman is the likely candidate to take over as head coach.
