

The West Bengal Cabinet, during its first meeting, took six major decisions concerning administration, border security, and governance. The state government announced that land would be allocated to the Border Security Force (BSF) within 45 days for the construction of border fencing in sensitive areas.
The Cabinet also decided to implement all Central Government schemes across West Bengal and immediately enforce the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) in the state. Approval was granted for IAS and IPS officers to attend Central Government training programmes. In addition, the government announced a five-year extension in service for state government employees and resolved to extend support to the families of BJP workers who were allegedly murdered.
