Trinamool Congress rebel MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar has made serious allegations against former Rajya Sabha MP Ahmed Hassan Imran, claiming that he has links with extremist organizations based in Bangladesh. She reportedly wrote a letter to West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, citing media reports that raised concerns over Imran’s alleged connections. Ghosh also questioned why land requested by the Indian Army and Border Security Force (BSF) in sensitive regions like the Siliguri Corridor was not allocated during the TMC regime, and demanded a high-level investigation into the matter.
Clarifying her stance, Kakoli Ghosh stated that she has no connection with the rebellion led by MLA Ritabrata Banerjee within the party. She emphasized that they operate with different political objectives. Meanwhile, reports have surfaced that around 20 TMC MPs have extended support to the NDA, with a letter addressed to the Lok Sabha Speaker reaching national media. Prominent names among the rebel MPs include Yusuf Pathan, Sayoni Ghosh, and Shatrughan Sinha, sparking fresh political debate.
