Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to take all necessary relief measures in areas affected by Cyclone Arnab. He held teleconferences with district collectors from affected areas, Real Time Governance System (RTGS) officials and field-level staff to assess the situation and review precautionary measures. The Chief Minister reviewed the situation with officials until 1:30 AM on Tuesday night and held another teleconference after 6 AM on Wednesday to provide further instructions.
RTGS officials informed the Chief Minister that heavy rainfall was likely in several parts of the state on Wednesday and Thursday due to the cyclone. Officials also reported that trees and electricity poles had fallen in several locations because of strong winds. As a precaution, power supply had been suspended in affected areas. Chandrababu directed officials to immediately clear fallen trees from roads and begin restoring electricity once the cyclone's intensity had completely subsided. District collectors briefed him on the relief and restoration work underway. The Konaseema district collector reported that approximately 6,000 electricity poles had fallen in the district, highlighting the scale of the damage and the need for extensive restoration efforts.
