BRS leaders congratulated their supporters who won sarpanch and ward member seats despite the alleged violence by the ruling Congress in the first phase of the Panchayat polls. They said that even with the Chief Minister campaigning personally, Congress could not cross 44% of the seats it contested, proving growing public dissatisfaction. The results, they claimed, show that people are displeased with Revanth Reddy’s governance and see BRS as the only strong alternative, with no major role for the BJP in Telangana.
They added that villagers believe no real development will take place under Congress in the coming years, which led to strong anti-incumbency in the polls. Unfulfilled guarantees, pension issues, Mahalakshmi promises, fertilizer shortages, and farmer struggles were all remembered by the rural population. After two years of poor administration and weakened rural development, the Panchayat results signal the beginning of Congress' downfall, and BRS leaders expressed confidence that their party will dominate upcoming elections across the state.
