

Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav presented the Andhra Pradesh Budget for the financial year 2026–27 in the AP Assembly, outlining a total outlay of ₹3,32,205 crore. During his budget speech, he stated that the state had suffered severe setbacks between 2019 and 2024 and emphasized that the present government is steering Andhra Pradesh from “destruction to development.” He highlighted that the budget aligns with the Swarna Andhra 2047 vision and aims to fulfil the aspirations of farmers in Rayalaseema while boosting confidence among youth in Srikakulam district.
The budget estimates a fiscal deficit of ₹75,868.09 crore and a revenue deficit of ₹22,002.50 crore, with capital expenditure pegged at ₹53,915 crore. The state expects ₹64,362 crore as its share from central taxes, ₹1,25,845 crore in tax revenue, and ₹11,473 crore through non-tax revenue. The minister also announced the establishment of horticulture clusters with an allocation of ₹30,000 crore and proposed economic zones to attract investments. He noted that the previous government had left behind a debt burden of ₹9.74 lakh crore.
