Manish Brahmbhatt Quits CJP, Announces New Political Platform

Manish Brahmbhatt, who recently distanced himself from the CJP (Cockroach Janta Party), announced a new political platform, ‘CJP-Democratic’, in Delhi on Thursday. Brahmbhatt alleged that the CJP leadership under Abhijeet Dipke had become aligned with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its convenor Arvind Kejriwal. He accused the leadership of turning the platform into “Team Kejriwal” and said its focus had shifted from issues concerning students, unemployed youth and people from other states to opposing the BJP. He also alleged that eight CJP leaders, including Dipke, had close links with the AAP.

Brahmbhatt, a management consultant from Gujarat, contested the 2022 Gujarat Assembly election as an independent candidate from Palanpur and secured 964 votes. He later worked as a volunteer and coordinator for the CJP movement. He said he was not invited to a CJP core-team meeting held in Maharashtra in early August and learned about it through the media before reaching Dipke’s residence. After allegedly being denied entry, Brahmbhatt staged a protest outside the residence. He also claimed that several volunteers who had participated in the Jantar Mantar protests were deliberately kept away from key discussions. Following a deterioration in his health, Brahmbhatt and his associate Rahul Pandya were admitted to hospital. He subsequently announced his exit from the CJP and has now launched the CJP-Democratic wing.
