The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has urged the State Election Commission (SEC) to strictly implement the Supreme Court's directives during the MPTC and ZPTC elections. The party called for CCTV surveillance and webcasting at polling stations and adequate security for contesting candidates. It also demanded an end to the alleged illegal arrests and house detentions of YSRCP leaders during the polling process, urging the authorities to ensure that such incidents do not take place.
YSRCP has also requested the SEC to preserve CCTV footage and ballot papers related to the municipal elections. Seeking transparency and fairness in the electoral process, the party has submitted separate letters to the State Election Commission on each of these issues. It has urged the commission to take necessary steps to prevent electoral irregularities and ensure that the elections are conducted in a free and fair manner.
