Polling for the Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency (MPTC) and Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituency (ZPTC) elections has begun in Andhra Pradesh. Voting started at 7 AM across the state. Authorities have established 31,460 polling stations to facilitate voting for approximately 2.61 crore registered voters. Arrangements have been made to ensure the smooth conduct of the election process, and voters are exercising their democratic right.
Meanwhile, polling has been postponed in five mandals due to the impact of Cyclone Murasu. The affected mandals include Velerupadu, Buttayagudem, Jeelugumilli and Polavaram in Eluru district, along with Gopalapuram in East Godavari district. Voting in these areas has been rescheduled for November 6. Following the completion of polling in the postponed areas, votes will be counted across the state on November 7, and the results will be announced.
