Former minister and BRS Deputy Floor Leader Harish Rao expressed deep sorrow over the death of RTC worker Shankar Goud, calling it a painful sacrifice made in the fight to protect the organization and workers’ rights. He paid rich tributes to Shankar Goud and urged workers not to resort to such extreme steps, emphasizing the need for united and democratic struggles to achieve their demands.
Harish Rao alleged that the responsibility for Shankar Goud’s death lies with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, citing government negligence and unfulfilled promises, including the RTC merger. He demanded immediate action to address workers’ issues, restore their confidence, and declare the day of Shankar Goud’s martyrdom as an “Appointed Day” in his honor. He assured RTC workers of full support and appealed to them to continue their fight collectively without losing hope.
