Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has demanded a detailed debate in Parliament on the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak, the controversies surrounding CBSE examinations, and the police action against students in Delhi. Along with MPs from the INDIA alliance, he met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and urged him to allow a discussion on these issues. Later, Rahul Gandhi posted on X, calling it unfortunate that students raising concerns about their future were subjected to police action.
Rahul Gandhi said Parliament must discuss issues affecting the future of the country's youth and hold the government accountable for the examination crisis and the police response to student protests. Congress General Secretary K. C. Venugopal also said the Opposition had requested a discussion on the matter and demanded that Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan personally explain the government's position in Parliament.
