Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy instructed officials to take strong measures to transform Hyderabad into a clean city. He held a review meeting on Saturday with senior officials of the tri-municipal corporations under the Core Urban Region (CURE) as part of the 99-day Praja Palana progress plan.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized that daily door-to-door garbage collection must be ensured across the city. He also suggested promoting the use of electric vehicles for waste collection and assigning specific areas to each vehicle for better monitoring.
Revanth Reddy directed officials to quickly prepare and operationalize newly identified dumping yards considering the city’s expansion. He also asked them to prevent construction waste from being dumped indiscriminately and to arrange proper systems for its collection and transport.
The CM further instructed authorities to maintain sanitation, take steps to control mosquitoes, and ensure adequate medical facilities for citizens during seasonal diseases.
