Former minister and BRS MLA T. Harish Rao has responded to reports that Congress leaders are visiting Siddipet to inspect his lands. Questioning the deployment of a large number of police personnel, bulletproof vehicles, rope parties and drones, Rao said there was no need for such arrangements. He said he was available in Siddipet and that if the Congress leaders informed him in advance, he would make the arrangements himself. Rao added that he would even host them for a meal and personally show them his lands and gardens. He maintained that his life was an open book and that details of his properties had been clearly disclosed in all his election affidavits, including survey numbers.
Rao alleged that while he owns 13 acres in Ramanchal, claims were being made about land that he does not possess. He said there was nothing that he had hidden and nothing new for anyone to uncover. Rao also rejected allegations of wrongdoing, saying the people of Siddipet had repeatedly supported him based on his work. He described Siddipet as a place known for affection, hospitality and warmth, and said Congress leaders did not need to visit with a large police force. Local media reports have also said that Siddipet Congress leaders recently demanded an impartial probe into the properties of KCR and Harish Rao.
