Telangana Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that the recent developments in Delhi reflected the BJP led Central Government’s growing disconnect with the aspirations of India’s youth. He said students demanding transparency, accountability and fairness in public examinations were met with confrontation instead of dialogue. According to him, democratic engagement is the only way to address the concerns of young citizens.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said the Congress party has consistently stood with students and citizens seeking justice through peaceful and democratic means. He praised Rahul Gandhi for standing alongside protesting students, describing his actions as courageous, compassionate and rooted in constitutional values. He added that the right to dissent is a fundamental democratic right and not a privilege granted by any government.
The Minister stated that Rahul Gandhi’s focus on protecting the Constitution and democratic institutions has resonated with millions of people across the country. He expressed confidence that Rahul Gandhi could emerge as a strong democratic alternative and hoped he would lead the Congress to victory in the 2029 Lok Sabha elections. Uttam also highlighted Telangana’s governance model, saying it reflects responsive administration, welfare oriented development and respect for constitutional freedoms.
