BJP Legislature Party leader Aleti Maheshwar Reddy launched a strong attack on the Congress government in Telangana, alleging irregularities in land dealings and the Revenue Department. He levelled several allegations against Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and said he was ready to debate the charges anywhere. He also questioned how lands could be placed on prohibited lists after all necessary permissions had allegedly been granted.
Maheshwar Reddy alleged that poor people were being intimidated and their lands taken away. He challenged the state government to order a CBI probe into land transfers. He also criticised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy over his foreign visits and alleged a secret understanding between the Congress and BRS. Maheshwar Reddy said the BJP would take action against alleged irregularities if it comes to power.
