AP Government Directs Officials to Begin Preparations for Local Body Elections

The Andhra Pradesh government has instructed the Municipal Administration and Panchayat Raj departments to make necessary preparations for the upcoming local body elections. Officials have been directed to review pending court cases and other administrative issues that could affect the election process.

The government has also asked the concerned departments to invite tenders for the procurement of election materials. The elections are expected to be held for 123 municipalities and more than 13,000 gram panchayats across the state. With these directions, preparations for the local body polls are set to gather pace.
