At a media conference held at the TDP office in Mangalagiri, MLC Bhoomireddy Ramgopal Reddy made strong allegations against the family of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. He claimed that the family’s political history is marked by violence and accused them of supporting the British during India’s freedom struggle. He further alleged that the family worked against the nation’s independence to gain favor from British authorities and questioned whether Jagan could deny claims about Raja Reddy’s association with the British forces.
Reddy also alleged that the Jagan family was involved in the murder of Venkatanarasayya over mining disputes in Mangapeta. He stated that Raja Reddy had evaded authorities until independence and accused the family of betraying even those involved in such acts. He criticized Jagan for speaking about peace despite such allegations, calling it ironic. These remarks have once again sparked a political controversy in Andhra Pradesh.
