Bandi Sanjay Slams Congress and BRS Over Assembly Row

Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar has strongly criticised the conduct of Congress and BRS leaders in the Telangana Assembly. Speaking at the BJP state office, he said the scenes in the House were embarrassing and claimed that people were unhappy with the manner in which the proceedings were being conducted. He condemned the alleged use of abusive language against the Speaker by BRS leaders and demanded the immediate arrest and legal action against those accused of assaulting police personnel, including BRS MLC Thatha Madhu.

Bandi Sanjay also criticised the government for spending valuable Assembly time on political disputes instead of discussing public issues. He said people were struggling with problems linked to 22A land matters, pending fee reimbursement and certificates, inadequate irrigation, unemployment and the closure of some industries and IT establishments. He also raised concerns over pending DA payments, retirement benefits and bills affecting employees, teachers and pensioners, and said people were waiting for meaningful discussion on the implementation of the six guarantees.

He further alleged that poor sanitation, mosquito-related illnesses, rising essential commodity prices and the lack of affordable housing were adding to the hardships faced by the public. At the same time, he condemned police action against BJP workers who held protests over fee reimbursement and demanded strict action against officers accused of treating peaceful protesters improperly. He also criticised both Congress and BRS, alleging that the parties were using Assembly proceedings for political calculations while failing to address pressing public concerns.

Bandi Sanjay said BRS had lost the credibility required of the principal opposition and questioned the continued recognition of K. Chandrashekar Rao as the Leader of Opposition despite his absence from the Assembly. He dismissed the claims surrounding the alleged attack on KCR’s farmhouse as a political drama and accused both Congress and BRS of following similar political tactics. He asserted that BJP would come to power in Telangana and said development would be possible through a double-engine government. He also alleged that BJP legislators were not being given adequate opportunities to speak in the Assembly.
