Hindupur MLA and senior actor Balakrishna once again drew attention in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly with his fiery speech. While criticizing former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy, Balakrishna indirectly referred to him as a “psycho.” Though Jagan’s name was not taken directly, the remarks clearly pointed at him.Balakrishna is well known for his aggressive style of speech, but such language inside the Assembly has raised questions. Political analysts believe that calling an opponent “psycho” may create temporary buzz but undermines the dignity of the House. The controversy deepened further when Chiranjeevi’s name was dragged into the discussion. With his younger brother Pawan Kalyan now serving as Deputy CM in the TDP–Janasena alliance government, such remarks risk creating unease within the coalition.
While strong words are common in politics, personal attacks and film-related references inside the Assembly may hurt alliances in the long run. YSRCP leaders have already retaliated, branding Balakrishna himself as the “real psycho.”How this verbal spat will impact the NDA coalition dynamics, especially with Pawan as a key partner, remains uncertain. One thing is certain — Balakrishna’s single remark has once again set the political stage in Andhra Pradesh on fire.
