Strategic developments are reportedly reshaping the ongoing conflict in West Asia, with reports suggesting that Russia is providing real-time intelligence support to Iran. According to international media reports, Moscow has allegedly been sharing information about the movements of US warplanes, naval assets, and military bases with Tehran. Analysts believe that such intelligence support has helped Iran continue its targeted attacks despite losing much of its ability to independently track US forces at the early stages of the conflict.
Since the beginning of the war, Iran has reportedly launched thousands of one-way attack drones and hundreds of missiles targeting US military installations, diplomatic facilities, and other strategic locations. Experts say that access to advanced Russian satellite imagery and surveillance capabilities may have significantly improved Iran’s targeting accuracy. However, the US Central Intelligence Agency and the Department of Defense have declined to comment on these claims. Analysts also suggest that Russia is unlikely to enter the West Asian conflict directly, as its primary focus remains the ongoing war in Ukraine.
