Women and Child Welfare Minister Dr. Danasari Anasuya Seethakka participated in the “Amma Mata – Anganwadi Bata” programme at Mallepally Centre and Mahatma Gandhi Nagar Anganwadi Centre under the Golconda Project in Hyderabad district. Along with Nampally MLA Majid Hussain, she launched a child enrolment drive, distributed uniforms to pre-school students, and presented school readiness certificates to children entering primary education. The Minister also interacted with children and reviewed learning activities, nutrition services, and educational resources.
Addressing the gathering, Seethakka stated that Anganwadi centres are not merely nutrition hubs but the first educational institutions that lay a strong foundation for a child’s future. She said that nearly 9 lakh children are currently enrolled in Anganwadis across Telangana and are benefiting from education, nutrition, and healthcare services. The Minister announced plans to expand the breakfast scheme statewide and urged parents to enrol their children in Anganwadi centres to ensure holistic development.
