Uyir OTT Release Date Confirmed

Malayalam investigative thriller Uyir has officially locked its OTT release date. The film, which impressed audiences during its theatrical run, is now set to reach a wider audience through Disney+ Hotstar. Roshan Mathew plays the lead role, while the story and dialogues have been written by police officer Shaji Marad, bringing realistic police investigation techniques to the screen. The cast also includes Baiju Santhosh, Athulya Chandra, Shruthi Menon, and Saiyami Kher in important roles.

The story revolves around Ajeeb, a probationary Sub-Inspector who begins investigating the death of a woman whose body is discovered in an abandoned well. What initially appears to be a routine investigation gradually unfolds into a larger criminal conspiracy. With its gripping screenplay and realistic investigation sequences, Uyir has received positive appreciation from audiences. The film will officially premiere on Disney+ Hotstar from August 4 in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
