Influencer Orry (Orhan Awatramani) has been summoned by the Mumbai Police Anti-Narcotics Cell in connection with a massive ₹252 crore mephedrone drug trafficking case. His name surfaced during the interrogation of an arrested accused, who claimed that Orry had attended certain high-profile parties where drugs were allegedly consumed. Police have clarified that he has been called only for questioning and verification, and no charges have been filed against him.
The case traces back to March 2024, when police uncovered a large mephedrone manufacturing unit in Sangli and seized 126 kg of the drug. The investigation intensified after the arrest of Mohammad Salim Suhail Shaikh, allegedly linked to drug networks connected with major crime syndicates. Authorities revealed that the operation involved drug distribution via luxury vehicles and money laundering through hawala channels. During interrogation, Shaikh claimed he organised exclusive parties attended by celebrities, business figures, and public personalities.
Based on these statements, police have summoned those mentioned to verify their involvement, if any. Orry has been asked to appear before the Ghatkopar ANC unit to provide clarification regarding his association with the accused and to assist the investigation. Officials emphasise that his questioning is part of the routine verification process as the probe expands into a large drug trafficking network.
