Union Ministers Visit Sammakka-Saralamma Temple

Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda visited the Medaram Sammakka-Saralamma Temple to witness the ongoing Jatara festival. The ministers were warmly received by state ministers Seethakka, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Adluri Lakshman Kumar, and the district collector Divakar, along with a traditional welcome featuring drums and folk music. Priests and temple officials personally greeted the Union Ministers inside the temple premises.

During the visit, the state ministers presented a memorandum to the Union Ministers requesting that the Medaram Jatara be recognized as a national festival. The grand reception and ceremonial welcome highlighted the cultural significance of the festival and the devotion of the local community towards Sammakka and Saralamma.
