The doors of the Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Temple were closed in accordance with traditional customs due to the lunar eclipse. Temple authorities announced that the shrine would remain closed until 7:30 PM. The eclipse is scheduled to begin at 3:20 PM and conclude at 6:47 PM, prompting the customary closure of the temple several hours in advance.
As per tradition, the temple doors will be reopened at 7:30 PM, followed by purification rituals and Punyahavachanam. Devotees will be allowed to resume Sarva Darshan at Tirumala after 8:30 PM. Officials have requested pilgrims to take note of the revised schedule and plan their visit accordingly.
