Employees of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) are preparing to go on strike within the next 48 hours as discussions with the Telangana government remain inconclusive. Despite several demands being addressed positively, key issues such as the merger of RTC with the government and the restoration of unions are yet to be resolved, leading to growing unrest among workers.
Leaders of the RTC Joint Action Committee (JAC) across all depots have announced their readiness for the strike if a resolution is not reached soon. Meanwhile, the government is reportedly exploring alternative arrangements to manage transport services in case the strike becomes unavoidable. Another round of talks between RTC JAC leaders and Minister Ponnam Prabhakar is likely to take place soon, raising hopes for a possible breakthrough.
