The Telangana government has announced a major relief for state employees. Following orders from Deputy Chief Minister Batti Vikramarka, the government released Rs. 720 crore on Saturday evening towards pending bills for government staff. This payment clears all pending cash settlement dues related to surrendered leave from 2022 to February 2025 in a single tranche. The government has been consistently implementing its promises, releasing pending funds on a monthly basis through a green channel to ensure timely disbursal of employee dues.
Along with the pending surrendered leave payments, the released funds also cover gratuity, GPF, surrendered leave encashment, and advances. The government had previously released Rs. 183 crore in June last year and has since been releasing over Rs. 700 crore every month. Employee unions were assured that pending dues from the previous government would be settled regularly, and the latest release demonstrates the state’s commitment to fulfilling those commitments.
