TG: Due to heavy rainfall between June and October this year, groundwater levels across the state have risen significantly. Water is now available at depths ranging from a minimum of 2 metres to a maximum of 7.93 metres, according to officials. Compared to the past decade, the state’s average groundwater level has improved by around 1.7 metres. While the average groundwater depth stood at 10.7 metres in May, it has now risen to just 4.42 metres by October — showing that the “underground river” is steadily rising upward.
