Some individuals on social media platforms are creating false videos and news to gain popularity, views and likes. Recently, ahead of Lok Adalat on the 14th of this month, fake videos claiming traffic fine discounts went viral online. These videos received hundreds of thousands of views, becoming a major topic of discussion across social media.
The Hyderabad Police, through Police Commissioner Sajjannar, have officially clarified that no such discounts have been announced. This is completely misleading and an attempt to misguide the public.
Authorities urge citizens not to believe or share such fake videos. Individuals spreading false information for social media fame will face strict legal action. The police also advise everyone to remain cautious and rely only on official apps and websites for authentic information.
