

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the Amrit Bharat Express train service in Assam, connecting the northeastern state with the two Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The train will operate between the renowned pilgrimage centre Kamakhya in Assam and Charlapalli in Telangana. Equipped with sleeper and general second-class coaches, the service aims to provide affordable and comfortable travel for passengers commuting between the Northeast and southern parts of the country.
The new train service will halt at several key railway stations in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana along its route. These include Srikakulam Road, Vizianagaram Junction, Pendurthi, Duvvada, Samalkot Junction, Rajamahendravaram, Tanuku, Bhimavaram Town, Gudivada, Vijayawada, Guntur, and Nalgonda. The introduction of this train is expected to significantly improve connectivity and provide a convenient travel option for passengers traveling to the northeastern region.
