The Delhi team suffered a disastrous collapse in their ongoing match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. They came under immense pressure after losing 5 crucial wickets for a mere 7 runs within just 2.4 overs. The fall of wickets began in the very first over when Sahil was dismissed off Bhuvneshwar Kumar's bowling.
In the second over, Hazlewood delivered a brilliant spell, dismissing both KL Rahul and Sameer Rizvi on consecutive deliveries. In the third over, Bhuvneshwar once again made his presence felt, taking the wickets of Stubbs and Axar Patel to push Delhi into even deeper trouble. At this stage, Bhuvneshwar had claimed three wickets, while Hazlewood had taken two.
By the end of the Powerplay, the Delhi team was completely pushed onto the back foot, having lost 6 wickets for just 13 runs in 6 overs. Currently, with Nitish Rana and Abhishek Porel at the crease, the responsibility of rescuing the team now rests squarely on their shoulders.
