

Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics Nara Lokesh met JSW Cement & Paints Managing Director Parth Jindal in Davos, Switzerland. During the meeting, Minister Lokesh urged JSW to commence construction work on the proposed Kadapa Steel Plant at the earliest and discussed the timeline for the groundbreaking ceremony. He assured full support from the state government and highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s investor-friendly ecosystem.
Minister Lokesh also proposed setting up decorative and industrial paint manufacturing units in the state. He suggested considering Sri City or Visakhapatnam for the proposed JSW–LG battery manufacturing unit and exploring opportunities to establish new EV and ICE manufacturing lines through the MG Motor brand in Andhra Pradesh. Additionally, he requested JSW Group to adopt heritage sites such as Gandikota Fort and Undavalli Caves as part of its heritage adoption initiatives. Parth Jindal responded positively, stating that the proposals would be discussed with the company’s senior leadership before taking a final decision.
