

New Delhi: In the 129th episode of 'Mann Ki Baat', Prime Minister Narendra Modi described the year 2025 as a year filled with national pride, security, sporting achievements, scientific progress, and cultural unity. He said that the strengthening of security through Operation Sindoor and the 150th anniversary of 'Vande Mataram' further enhanced national sentiment. He highlighted India's prowess in sports, mentioning the men's cricket team winning the ICC Champions Trophy, the women's team winning their first World Cup, and the women's blind T20 World Cup victory. He added that the medals won by para-athletes in the World Championships were a matter of pride for the country.
The Prime Minister said that India has also been at the forefront in the field of science and technology. He recalled that Shubhanshu Shukla created history by becoming the first Indian to reach the International Space Station. He noted that the increase in the number of cheetahs to over 30 was a positive development in environmental conservation. He said that events in the religious and cultural spheres, from the Prayagraj Mahakumbh Mela to the flag hoisting at the Ayodhya Ram Temple, showcased the country's unity.
The Prime Minister stated that the increased demand for domestic products has boosted national self-confidence. He also mentioned that interest in the Tamil language is growing due to the impact of programs like the Kashi Tamil Sangamam. Focusing on the role of the youth, he announced that a ‘Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue’ will be organized on January 12, 2026, on the occasion of National Youth Day, and that he himself would attend.
