In a significant relief for air travelers, the central government has taken steps to regulate excessive charges imposed on seat selection in flights. The move aims to make air travel more affordable and transparent for passengers across the country.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation has directed airlines to ensure that at least 60 percent of seats on every flight are offered without any additional charges for seat selection. This decision is expected to curb unfair pricing practices and provide greater convenience to passengers while booking tickets.
