All major temples across the Telugu states will remain closed tomorrow due to the partial lunar eclipse. As per astronomy and Hindu tradition, temples are closed during an eclipse and reopened only after purification rituals.
Officials from major temples like Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, Srisailam Temple, Kanaka Durga Temple, Yadagirigutta Temple and Vemulawada Rajanna Temple have announced that temple sanctums will be closed a few hours before the eclipse begins. During this time, all rituals, prayers and darshans will remain suspended.
Devotees are advised to adjust their travel plans accordingly, as the eclipse effects will start from tomorrow afternoon. In Tirumala, the distribution of annaprasadam and general darshan timings will be altered. Once the eclipse ends, temple authorities will conduct purification rituals and punyahavachanam before reopening temples for devotees.
