State Roads & Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy held a high-level review meeting at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat on the proposed 7.1 km double-decker elevated corridor from LB Nagar to Hayathnagar, up to All India Radio Station. The long review meeting lasted nearly four hours with senior officials from the Chief Minister’s Office, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, and Hyderabad Metro Rail authorities participating.
The project, estimated at ₹941 crore, has already received support from Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who has reportedly agreed to contribute ₹200 crore as the state share. The corridor is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion on NH-65, benefitting nearly 20 lakh people across 54 colonies and enabling commuters to cross the city in just 15 minutes. Officials noted that the stretch currently witnesses frequent accidents due to heavy traffic, and the project will also allow safer movement through service roads. The minister urged central authorities to expedite approvals and complete the tender process at the earliest.
