As the RTC workers’ strike intensifies across the state, JAC leaders are set to hold an emergency meeting today. With the ministers’ committee and senior officials inviting them for talks, a key decision is expected on whether to attend the meeting or not. Despite repeated invitations from the government over the past few days, the JAC is firm on not calling off the strike without clear assurances.
Meanwhile, the suicide of driver Shankar Goud in Narsampet has triggered concern among workers. JAC leaders are likely to visit Narsampet to express solidarity with the workers there. On the other hand, the government has urged employees to end the strike and resolve issues amicably through discussions. It remains to be seen whether the JAC will attend the talks, and whether the strike will move towards resolution or intensify further.
