The event occurred while he was reporting live from the ground to highlight the ongoing attacks in the region. During the broadcast, a missile suddenly headed toward him and upon noticing it, he quickly moved aside, narrowly avoiding danger. The missile exploded at the spot moments later with a loud blast.
According to reports, both the journalist and his cameraman sustained injuries in the incident and were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital. A large fire broke out in the area where the missile struck.
